Take Me Away - Click for bigger! That’s right, the bullet has well and truly been bitten and I’ve ordered a batch of screen printed t-shirts featuring a re-done version of my “Take Me Away” design. They should be ready in about 3 weeks!

Screen printing is an expensive business (especially the first run of a design as you have to get the screens made up, and this design has required four colours, so that’s four screens) and because of that, this first batch is limited to only 25 t-shirts. They’re on Sky Blue ladies fitted t-shirts and they’re a heavier weight fabric. I don’t like thin t-shirts myself, so wanted to get a good quality t-shirt. They’re being made in the following sizes:

  • Small – Dress size 8-10, chest size 38cm / 15in
  • Medium – Dress size 10-12, chest size 41cm /16in
  • Large – Dress size 12-14, chest size 43cm / 17in
  • Extra Large – Dress size 14-16, chest size 45cm / 18in

(Some sizes will have a greater quantity than others.)

Ethical and Environmentally Friendly!

I was determined to start as I mean to go on with t-shirts and looked high and low for a neat screen printing company that is not only ethical but environmentally friendly and hand prints the t-shirts. Fortunately, I found one and they’re helpful and knowledgeable to boot!

The t-shirts themselves are made of organic cotton (so no nasty pesticides) and the inks are waterbased. This means that there are no PVC or phthalates, CFC’s or HCFC’s, aromatic hydrocarbons, lead or other heavy metals in the inks and no solvents are required to clean the screen printing setup afterwards. There’s nothing toxic at all in these inks. Much better for everybody, including mother nature!

Reserve One Today!

As I’m only getting a very limited run done at first I’m more than happy to reserve t-shirts for anybody that wants one. They’ll be selling for £20.00 GBP ($40.00 USD) normally which I know is expensive but these are quality t-shirts made with nature in mind. If you reserve one, however, you’ll only pay £18.00 GBP ($36.00 USD) as a way of saying thanks! If you would like to reserve one just drop me an email at info@moopf.com telling me what size you would like. I’ll then email you back confirming if I’ve still got free stock available in that size. You won’t have to pay anything until the t-shirts have arrived and are ready to be sent out and if you change your mind at that point I won’t get grumpy or upset :) It’s no problem at all.

Shipping to the UK will be £1 GBP ($2 USD) per t-shirt and for elsewhere it will be £2.50 GBP ($5 USD) per t-shirt.

Excited, Nervous, Filling my Pants!

This is something really new for me, and I’ve wanted to do it for longer than I can remember. I also want this to be the first of many t-shirts so I’m really hopeful that this does well and I can use it as a stepping stone to printing more designs up, and in larger quantities. Oh and don’t worry guys, I will ensure that if this goes well, the second t-shirt I do will be available in mens as well – after all the first t-shirt I’m getting printed isn’t something I can wear myself!

Great news – I hope it all goes well for you. I love this design. Only one question though – since when does size 14-16 mean extra large? :( and also the 18inch chest size – is that from armpit to armpit so really is a 36inch?

That’s just the sizes I’ve been given, I’ll be honest I’m not an expert on women’s sizes. And yes the measurement is from armpit to armpit. I see what you mean on that measurement, I’ve just checked myself to make sure.
